The screen as a window
A Gaussian splat behind a frame that follows your head. Move, and the bust shifts the way a real object behind glass would.

Move your pointer across the frame.
What this proves, and what it fakes
Real
- Off-axis projection: the frame stays fixed and the scene's frustum skews with your eye. A plain moving camera would orbit instead.
- Head tracking with MediaPipe face landmarks, smoothed. The video never leaves your device.
- Runs in one static page, no build step, no server code.
Faked or borrowed
- The bust is not a photo capture. It is Marble Bust 01 by Rico Cilliers (Poly Haven, CC0), sampled into splats with the light baked in.
- Head depth is guessed from eye spacing, so lean-in is approximate.
- The renderer is antimatter15/splat (MIT), adapted. Face tracking is MediaPipe (Apache 2.0), served from this site.
